Saskatchewan has issued 54 invitations in its latest Entrepreneur stream draw through the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP).
The draw, held on May 5, 2024, required candidates to have a minimum score of 90 points, with the average score reaching 110.
The Entrepreneur stream assesses candidates based on three key selection factors: official language proficiency, alignment with key economic sectors, and completion of an exploratory visit. These factors help distinguish between candidates with identical points on the Entrepreneur stream grid.
To enter the pool, applicants must meet specific entry requirements, including a minimum legally accumulated net worth of $500,000 and at least three years of entrepreneurial or relevant management experience.
Additionally, candidates must invest a minimum of $300,000 in the cities of Regina or Saskatoon or $200,000 in other areas of Saskatchewan.
The SINP Entrepreneur stream operates in three stages: expression of interest, invitation to apply, and nomination. Candidates who meet the criteria are placed in a pool where those with the highest scores are invited to submit applications.
Applicants must also submit a comprehensive Business Establishment Plan, confirming the details outlined in their expression of interest.
This includes owning at least one-third of a business in Saskatchewan unless the investment exceeds $1 million. Candidates must also commit to active day-to-day business management and, if based in Regina or Saskatoon, create at least two jobs for Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
Saskatchewan’s entrepreneurship stream attracts candidates aiming to contribute to the province’s economic development.
