On October 9, 2024, Canada conducted its latest Express Entry draw, inviting 500 candidates under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) stream.
This is the second draw in October 2024, following the first, which targeted candidates from different immigration categories. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required for this draw’s eligibility was 539.
Express Entry is Canada’s primary immigration system for skilled workers, and this particular draw focused exclusively on CEC candidates.
CEC is designed for individuals who have already gained work experience in Canada. These candidates are ideal candidates for permanent residence due to their familiarity with the Canadian labor market and culture. Successful candidates in this round will now be able to apply for permanent residency in Canada and contribute to the country’s workforce and economy.
This draw marks the seventh CEC-specific round of invitations in 2024. To date, 25,300 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) have been issued through CEC-specific draws this year, indicating Canada’s continued focus on selecting experienced workers already within the country.
Earlier CEC-specific draws in 2024 invited thousands of candidates. The most recent large-scale draw took place on September 19, 2024, and 4,000 candidates were selected with a minimum CRS score of 509.
The latest draw continues Canada’s strategy of welcoming skilled workers through a targeted and efficient immigration process, ensuring that the country continues to attract the talent it needs to maintain its economic growth.
