New Express Entry General Draw Invites 1,325 Candidates to Apply for Permanent Residency

December 19, 2023

Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held an all-program (general) Express Entry draw on December 18, 2023.

The latest Express Entry draw for all programs had a lower CRS cut-off than the December 6, 2023, All-program Express Entry draw, as the minimum CRS score cut-off dropped by 19 points to close at 542 points. IRCC conducted the month’s fourth Express Entry round of invitations following a long gap during November 2023.

The recent all-program Express Entry draw had 1,011 Express Entry profiles in the pool, scoring 600 CRS points and above. These candidates received an additional 600 points because of provincial nominations. The Express Entry draw invited 314 candidates with CRS scores below the 600 mark, meaning they had no provincial nominations.

Recent CRS cut-off levels are above 500 points. It is challenging to score the higher levels of CRS points unless the candidate strives to score extra points under criteria like language ability, provincial nomination, sibling in Canada, and senior management job offer under Major Group 00 OF NOC.
