New Brunswick conducted its recent provincial nominee program draw in April 2023, inviting 86 candidates to apply for permanent residence.

The latest nomination draw selected 14 candidates under the Express Entry Occupations in-demand program and 45 candidates under the New Brunswick Employment Connection program. The NB PNP draw issued 27 Invitations to the New Brunswick Student Connection Program.

New Brunswick is Atlantic Canada’s bilingual province. The applicants for its Express Entry stream must qualify for English or French language proficiency within less than eighteen months before applying. An appropriate Educational Credential Assessment is mandatory if the candidate did not complete graduation from a Designated Learning Institution in Canada.

New Brunswick does not mandate settlement funds for open work permit candidates with a minimum of a year’s Canadian work experience. Students need no valid job offer to apply for the New Brunswick Student Connection program.

New Brunswick aims to boost provincial immigration by welcoming 5,500 new immigrants in 2023 as the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program received an additional allocation for 1,084 immigrants from the IRCC. The province also received an additional allocation for 1,116 candidates through Atlantic Immigration Program.
