Canada Conducts the Week’s Third Express Entry Draw Inviting Agriculture and Agri-food Occupations

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held the third Express Entry draw of the week on February 16, 2024.

The new Express Entry draw invited 150 candidates with active profiles in the pool across agriculture and agri-food occupations. It was the category-based invitation round to select candidates in agriculture and agri-food occupations. The minimum CRS score requirement for the Express Entry draw was 437 points.

The previous category-based Express Entry draw by IRCC on February 15 targeted healthcare occupations. The healthcare-category draw sent 3,500 Invitations to Apply for permanent residency. The minimum CRS score requirement for the draw was 422 points.

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada sent 1,490 PR invites to candidates having active Express Entry profiles in a general draw on February 13, 2024. The general draw selected candidates with a minimum CRS score of 535 points or more.

IRCC communicates to the selected candidates, inviting them to apply for permanent residency by mentioning the program they should apply for. Candidates receiving Invitations to Apply must submit proofs to support information in their Express Entry profiles. IRCC allows sixty days to reply with a complete application for permanent residency.
